Description:

Wheatgrass is a highly nutritious natural health food and product.

It is normally harvested at a time when its nutritional capacity is at its peak. Wheatgrass is sprouted wheat kernels which have been allowed to grow to the height of 6 inches or more, usually for 7 - 14 days (depending on warmth), either indoors or outdoors in trays or in the open ground. Wheatgrass is often grown in a special growing shed with controlled lighting and other desired conditions. Wheatgrass is mostly nutrient dense chlorophyll (about 70%). Chlorophyll has a very similar molecular structure to haemoglobin, the molecule which carries the oxygen in the human blood stream.

Wheatgrass is the green, growing and processing plant that will eventually become a shaft of wheat, ready to be harvested. It is a completely different animal when it is still in the grass stage. Wheatgrass is the sprout or young grass of the wheat plant. The first recorded usage of wheatgrass is from the 1930s by Charles Francis Schnabel. Wheatgrass is one of the most effective natural remedies present on earth that can provide one with a healthy body and a glowing looking skin. These days, most of the notable doctors are prescribing wheatgrass to their patients who are suffering from many ailment and conditions.

Wheatgrass is generally considered safe. No serious side effects were found in several studies using wheatgrass daily for up to one month. Wheatgrass is fast becoming one of the most widely used supplemental health foods. It contains chlorophyll (nature's most health promoting nutrient), 20 amino acids, several hundred different enzymes not found in other foods, as many as 90 out of 102 possible minerals, vitamins and other important nutrients. Wheatgrass is available planted in trays of soil and in tablets, capsules, liquid extracts, tinctures, and juices. Some people buy seeds or kits and grow it at home, either indoors or outside.

Wheatgrass is a leafy green and is different altogether from the grain and refined grain products that people often develop allergies to. Wheatgrass does not contain the gluten found in the grain, which is the component of wheat often causing people problems. Wheatgrass is grown through a process known as sprouting. Sprouts are "complete foods" because they contain all other essential dietary nutrients, along with the enzymes to help assimilate them. Wheatgrass is also high in alkaline. Any of these properties have been known to aid in fighting and decreasing the risk ailments and used during colon and organ / body cleansing programs.

Wheatgrass is loaded with lots of vitamins and nutrients and if you would like to take advantage of this great vegetable and the benefits it can provide you, all you need is a wheatgrass juicer or simply use the powder. Wheatgrass is popular in the Western world and used by health conscious people.
Despite its name, wheatgrass is gluten-free and is safe for patients with gluten intolerance. Wheatgrass is a blood building and cleansing vegetable. The wheatgrass contains no gluten.

Enzymes are complex protein molecules produced by living organisms exclusively for their own use in promoting chemical reactions. Orally ingested enzymes are digested in the stomach and have no enzymatic activity in the eater. Enzymes, in turn, help to strengthen your immune system. This helps your body in its fight against the many allergens.

Wheatgrass is such a concentrated source of chlorophyll and other nutrients that about 2 ounces of juice provides the same nourishment as up to 4 pounds of fresh green vegetables.
Wheatgrass is an excellent blood tonic, supporting the haemoglobin content of the blood and improving oxygen transport. Most useful for people with anaemia. Wheatgrass is reputed to help with some itchy skin conditions and can help to maintain overall good health, high energy and vitality.

Suggested Use:

  • 0.5 to 1 teaspoon taken 2 to 3 times per day
  • Start off by taking a small amount and increase the amount slowly to avoid possible temporary slight nausea (can be caused due to the strong detox properties of
    wheat grass)
  • Can be mixed in with fruit juice, yoghurt other foods and liquids or taken alone
