Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid)

Action

A water soluble and one of the most well known vitamins and anti-oxidants.
Body Effects: Increased resistance to infection, iron absorption, control of blood cholesterol, anti-stress & anti-histamine effect. For healthy tissues of blood vessels, bones, skin, teeth, gums, cartilage and collagen. Health of spleen and reproductive organs.

A deficiency may lead to poor resistance to infections, weakness, anaemia, muscle degeneration, fatigue, irritability, scurvey.

Uses

For Overall Health Maintenance / to support a healthy immune system.

Citrus fruits (fresh), vegetables (fresh), some herbs e.g. Burdock Seeds, Chillies, Elderberries, Horseradish, Marigold, Oregano, Rosehips, Paprika, Watercress.
