Chitosan

Action

Chitosan is a fibre-like substance which is extracted from marine shells, such as those of crabs and shrimps.
Chitosan has been shown to bind with fat molecules but since the chitosan is in itself indigestible, the bonded fibre & food fats combination then proceed through the gut to be excreted, without being absorbed.
