A formula combining Lipoic Acid and Acetyl-L-Carnitine has been called an "Elixir of Life" and other similar names in the media (Daily Express and Daily Mail - 19 February 2002), following publication of the results of a scientific trial on aged rats.
It was conducted by a team of researchers led by Professor Bruce Ames from the University of California, Berkley. "These old rats did the Macarena!" said professor Ames.
Lipoic Acid is referred to as the Universal Antioxidant.
