Used by herbalists for the genito-urinary system. A natural source of Silicic acid, ashes contain 70% silica.
Amongst other uses, as a soothing, non-irritating diuretic. Increases coagulability of blood, remineraliser, anti-atheroma, immune enhancer, white blood cell stimulator.

Silica as in Horsetail preserves the elasticity of connective tissue, controls calcium absorption, and is necessary for nails, hair, teeth & the skeleton.
It's cleansing properties help to remove urates, uric acid & cellulitis from the system.
