Proteolytic enzyme derived from the stem of the pineapple plant. Used as a digestive aid, meat tenderiser, anti-inflammatory, smooth muscle relaxant, digestant, anti-oedema. Stimulated production of prostagladin, inhibits blood platelet aggregation thus securing the NORMAL consistency of blood.
