Gymnema sylvestre is the full name of this herb.

It is a member of the milkweed family and native to the tropical regions of India.
Nicknamed the "sugar destroyer" - the leaves have been used for more than 2000 years in Ayurvedic medicine to block sweet tastes when chewed.

It is widely used for it's ability to tame desires for 'sweet taste / sweet tooth'. Is used by nutritionists and dieticians for clients with sugar cravings and to help maintain stable blood sugar levels as these are the main causes of many dieting and weight loss failures.
