Constipation Supplements

Constipation supplements:

Constipation refers to infrequent bowel movements that are hard in consistency and often painful to eliminate. A number of factors can contribute to constipation, such as food intolerance, lack of digestive enzymes, prolonged immobilization (bed rest), inadequate exercise, inadequate intake of fiber and fluids, irregular eating habits, and stress. People who have regular bowel movements feel more energetic, alert and cleaner inside. In fact, some bowels, when autopsied, weighed up to 40 pounds with a diameter of 12? (30cms) with only a narrow passage through which feces could be eliminated. An average American will eat 4-6 meals/day and have a typical bowl-movement only once a day.
This can lead to the re-absorption of toxins which disrupt the delicate balance in the gut, causing constipation, bloating, excessive flatulence, irregular bowel movements and overgrowth of harmful bacteria. Toxin overdose may make you feel tired, irritable, nauseous and make you prone to allergies and other immune disorders caused by an imbalance within the digestive tract.
It is Beneficial to Cleanse the Intestinal Track and Correct Bowel Functioning.

Cleanse and clean out the Bowel with Pure Psyllium Husks.

Psyllium is high fiber supplement and scrubs cleans the bowel wall and also encourages bowel movements. Take 1-2 teaspoons of Psyllium Husk Powder in a glass of water or juice up to 3 times per day. In countries where the diet is usually high in fibre, bowel movements may occur normally several times a day. For serious constipation or health concerns with your bowel management, please obtain the advise of a licensed health practitioner - you can also try a colon cleanser.

Constipation drugs contain drugs that stimulate bowel movement; these are best avoided without prior consultation with your doctor. Enemas should only be used following instructions and advice.

Most people suffer from occasional constipation , which is easily treated with changes in lifestyle and occasional use of herbal colon cleansers. However, ignoring constipation or not maintaining good bowel habits may result in chronic constipation - a change in how your bowel system works. Most people who are mildly constipated do not need laxatives. However, for those who have made diet and lifestyle changes and are still constipated, a doctor may recommend laxatives or enemas for a limited time. The combination of the properties of the cellulose, sugar and organic acid in grapes make them a laxative food. Their field of action is not limited to clearing the bowel only.

Avoid Laxatives:

Saline laxatives are typically for acute management of constipation or prior to gastrointestinal examinations where the colon needs to be emptied of all fecal matter. Patients on a sodium restricted diet, have congestive heart failure or kidney impairment should avoid sodium- and magnesium- containing saline laxatives.
Rather use magnesium peroxide supplements to stimulate a bowelmovement. Oxy-Powder doesn't just clean out the colon, it cleans the colon, small intestine, and large intestine - all without the side effects of laxatives or psyllium based cleansers. While psyllium and other fiber products simply scrape matter out through the center of a clogged colon, Oxy Powder removes old, impacted fecal matter as it detoxifies and cleans the entire intestinal tract. This is an incomplete solution as most laxatives work only at the level of the colon and do not address the poor circulation, poor liver and gallbladder functions which cause symptoms such as sluggishness and fatigue.

Pumpkin is high in fiber and has a high water content, both of which helps to keep dogs regular. A high fiber diet keeps your intestines healthy and keeps things moving along the way they should . Lack of exercise or a diet low in fiber may also contribute to this condition. In most cases, constipation in dogs and cats can be treated with a change in diet, adequate exercise and sufficient opportunities for the animal to relieve itself.

Eating or drinking too many dairy products such as milk, cheese, yogurt, ice cream, etc. The introduction of new foods to your child's diet, or diets consisting of too much fast food or starches could also lead to constipation. Eating well with plenty of fruits and vegetables for natural fiber is one method. Getting plenty of exercise is beneficial as well.

More fluid makes softer stools and easier bowel movements, removing another cause of constipation. Moreover, the fluid intake from products like coffee, soda's and alcohol should be limited because of their dehydrating effects. The most common contributing factors are: dehydration, poor muscle tone in the large intestine (called megacolon), and lack of bulk to the stool. With constipation stools they are usually hard, dry, small in size and difficult to get out. Constipation is considered as being a symptom and not a disease, but it can get quite bad and actually potentially dangerous if left untreated.
