COL-Clear Version B is a natural laxative and colon cleanser health supplement that is widely used by colonic hydrotherapists to help alleviate their patients’ painful stomach bloating, constipation, flatulence and other digestive health problems. The natural herbal ingredients used in this unique colon cleanser include digestive enzymes, probiotics, Cascara segrada, fennel, barberry, cayenne, dandelion root, ginger root, red raspberry and Turkey rhubarb. Digestive enzymes: Digestive enzymes are involved in almost every process in the body in one way or another. They are complex proteins that are found in the digestive tract and are used by the body to break food down into nutrients. The human body actually produces as many as 22 different digestive enzymes - each acting on a different class of food. A lack of digestive enzymes can mean that the body fails to digest food properly and is therefore unable to fully absorb the nutrients. This can lead to digestive problems, bloating and other stomach problems. Probiotics: Probiotics are friendly bacteria that help to establish, replenish and maintain the natural balance of microflora in the intestines. They compete with harmful bacteria for both food and space and thereby help to keep bad bacteria in check, avoiding overgrowth (such as Candida). Cascara sagrada: Cascara sagrada is a powerful natural laxative and herbal colon cleanser that contains compounds called anthroquinones. Anthraquinones are responsible for cascara’s strong laxative effect, because it triggers contractions in the colon which stimulate bowel movements. People most commonly use cascara sagrada for constipation. Fennel: Fennel contains anethole (a type of aromatic compound that occurs widely in natural essential oils), which can explain some of its medical effects. It also has carminative properties; in other words it prevents formation of gas in the gastrointestinal tract or facilitates the expulsion of that gas, thereby combating flatulence. It can also relax the intestines and reduce bloating caused by digestive disorders. Barberry: Barberry is a bitter herb that aids liver function and has a mild laxative effect. The alkaloids in barberry stimulate the appetite and liver bile, making it a useful herb for constipation and colon cleaning. Cayenne: Cayenne contains, capsaicin, which gives the herb its “hotness” and helps to keep the body warm and strong. This weakens parasites, because they do not like a warm environment. Cayenne is also known for assisting with assimilation, healing, improved circulation, cleansing, indigestion, urinary tract health, colds, flu, digestive disorders and strengthening internal organs, particularly the heart muscle. Dandelion root: Dandelion root and other plants of the dandelion have been used as a gentle laxative, a digestive aid and to relieve diarrhea. Dandelion root is known to promote healthy digestion. Red raspberry: Red raspberries are rich in powerful antioxidants, vitamins A, B, C, G and E, calcium, phosphorus and manganese. Red raspberries also act as natural laxatives and are diuretic - encouraging urination. Turkey rhubarb: Rhubarb root is used in traditional Chinese medicine as a natural laxative. Rhubarb contains powerful laxative compounds called anthraquinones, which stimulate the colon and therefore encourage bowel movements. Rhubarb root also contains tannins, which are believed to reduce inflammation in the colon. Small amounts of rhubarb are used in traditional Chinese medicine for diarrhea due to the tannin content.
