Lately there have been many journals featuring the relationship of yoga and health. Tons of stuff showing an almost direct positive result for the heart, blood pressure, muscles. Recent studies show that if you practice yoga, it will help prevent some major problems associated with people in their middle ages. How easy is that?

Researchers from the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center who have conducted a study showed that regular yoga practice for at least 30 minutes a week for four or more years can lead to weight loss for obese people in their middle ages.

From a study of 20,000 men and women, researches have concluded that yoga was much more beneficial to the men and women who did yoga on a regular basis than those who did not.

One common myth connected with weight loss is that you must have a hard exercise regime, however the people who do attend yoga practice did not do that kind of yoga at all. Research suggests that weight loss is due to how yoga makes one aware of their body.
